The other day I was sitting at our kitchen table with Lia (4 1/2y) and Kayley (1 1/2y) and Lia said “Hey…look at that!” and yes we saw a real wild animal walking by, a wild, probaby baby, Possum! Jeannette, who grew up in New York and itsn’t too fond of rats and other rodents came by and she wasn’t too happy with the rat-like creature slowing walking by.

Lia was afraid this little guy was gonna eat our plants, which is a reasonable concern, as these little guys eat all kinds of things.

I think it’s nice that wild animals can still survive in surburban areas.

We named him Ernie and we were able to each him slowly walk along the bricks for a couple of minutes before disappearing into some hedges.
